"After living in our house for 37 years, my husband and I decided to downsize. Our house was new when we purchased it so the whole process of hiring and working with a realtor was foreign to us. We looked at new models in a 55 and up community and loved the models. By chance, online I found a resale in that community. We toured it and loved it even more. A few days later my husband and I wanted to make an offer. I contacted Remax to see if it was still available and by chance spoke to Fran Bidell. She returned with us to look at the resale and we made an offer which was accepted. We closed on the house six weeks later. During that time we started the process of purging and packing our house and looking for a realtor to sell it. We met with a number of realtors including Fran and she definitely stood out in the crowd. We admired her hard work and knowledge of what it takes to sell a house. She made suggestions for staging and had many contacts which were needed to get our house ready for selling. Her photographer was excellent and our house looked beautiful. She began showing our house by appointment on Wednesday and had an offer on Friday that was $5000 above our asking price. We accepted. Fran was always quick to respond to our inquiries and that’s what impressed us the most. To have someone guide us every step of the way was very comforting for what was a stressful event. She was always focused on answering our questions and giving us good advice. She responded quickly to every call, email or text no matter what time of the day or night. Her professionalism, knowledge of the community, relationships with tradespeople, and her hard work was much appreciated. Her sense of humor was an added benefit and stress reliever. "Fran is truly an expert who knows every detail in the local market and what we really needs. She is friendly and always responded to our questions promptly. As we are new to Rhode Island and never buy a house previously, Fran did introduces all regions of the Rhode Island and let us know which places are more suitable to accommodate our needs. Whenever we want to give an offer to the listed houses, she could made suggestions and always protect us in all aspects. "Our experience working with Fran was excellent. We relocated to RI from CT during the pandemic and she was steadfast.
